Loplock Tab (Loperamide Hydrochloride Tablets IP 2 mg)

Description

Loplock Tab contains Loperamide Hydrochloride 2mg, a medicine used to relieve diarrhea symptoms. It works by slowing down bowel movements, allowing the body to absorb more water and electrolytes, thereby reducing stool frequency and improving consistency.

Loplock Tab is used to treat:
- Acute diarrhea
- Chronic diarrhea in inflammatory bowel disease
- Reducing output in ileostomies

The tablets are taken orally, and dosage depends on the individual's age, condition, and doctor's advice. Typically, the initial dose is 2mg, followed by 1mg after each loose stool, not exceeding 16mg daily. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen, or if you experience severe abdominal pain, blood in stools, or fever. Prolonged use without medical supervision is not recommended.
