Product Information
Description
Terbipro (250 mg) tablets contain Terbinafine Hydrochloride, an oral antifungal medication used to treat a wide range of persistent fungal infections of the skin and nails, including ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch.
Action Class: It belongs to the allylamine class of antifungals. It works by inhibiting the fungal enzyme squalene epoxidase, which disrupts the production of ergosterol (an essential component of the fungal cell membrane), ultimately killing the fungi and stopping the infection from growing and spreading.
Uses: It is indicated for treating fungal infections that affect the fingernails, toenails, skin (tinea corporis), groin (tinea cruris), and feet (tinea pedis). It is particularly effective for infections that are widespread or deeply embedded in the nails and hair follicles.
Administration: The tablets are taken orally, usually once daily, and can be consumed with or without food.
