Description
fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial eye infections like conjunctivitis. It works by stopping bacterial DNA gyrase, killing bacteria causing redness, discharge, and irritation. It should not be used for viral infections and may cause temporary blurred vision or stinging upon application.
Key Details:
Composition: Contains Moxifloxacin (0.5% w/w).
Usage: Typically applied as a thin ribbon in the lower eyelid 2-3 times daily or as advised by a doctor.
Common Side Effects: Temporary blurred vision, eye discomfort, burning/stinging sensation.
Precautions: Do not wear contact lenses during treatment. Use within 4 weeks of opening.
